The team defied limitations both onscreen and offscreen as it was spearheaded by Black women with a majority woman and POC cast and crew. This film also made history as the first project fiscally sponsored by 501(c)3 Black Film Space.
What an amazing evening at Emerson College in Hollywood! The private screening of short film, Missing Rhythms, for the talented individuals and their loved ones was a huge success. 25/EIGHT is proud to have given the incredible team behind this project an unforgettable night.
Missing Rhythms is a Black women centered-psychological thriller that follows a woman who must use to rhythm to remember her true identity and fight being lost forever. The film highlights themes of identity, representation, psychological tools of oppression and the epidemic of missing Black girls and women in this country.
